To ensure successful wireless charging, please check the following:

The puck wireless charger is Qi certified so works to charge any Qi capable phone. Every puck is tested with an industry standard Wireless tester before shipping.

There are a few things that cause it not to charge properly:

  1. Charger is set to Auto not ON in system policy. The Auto setting doesn’t work reliably – the Qi charger should be set to ON. Tom / Oleg can check these settings but I expect if it was working with your phones then it is set correctly.
  2. End user device placement is not on right spot – the centre of the charger is under the lightning bolt symbol on the puck – note this is in the lower part of the puck not the centre of the puck. The centre of the charging coil needs to line up with the phones charging coil – every phone brand this is different as to where this is placed so some trial and error is required
  3. Because the charging coil is co-located near the RFID antenna inside the puck, we have a longer back-off period for detecting a phone for charging. This is to ensure we don’t start the charger when there is an RFID card nearby as the charging coil can damage RFID cards. This means you need to wait a bit longer to detect if phone is in correct position before moving it.
  4. Possibly the phone that doesn’t charge has NFC turned on, other metal or coils in a phone case, or and RFID card in a case that prevents the charging coil from starting due to its built in foreign object detection. Try disabling NFC on that phone to see if the charger starts.
  5. Disabling fast charge function and correctly aligning your phone charging coil with the pack can significantly reduce overheating.
