Traffic light system

The Floorsight module acts as an interface for the user (in terms of desk reservations and device charging), as well as relaying sensor readings from the Floorsense sensors. There is an LED indicator that cycles between four colours; Green, Yellow, Red, and Blue to indicate the occupancy status of the desk.

• Yellow now symbolises that a cleaner has cleaned a desk, replacing the “Occupied” status.
• In addition to red symbolising ‘Reserved’, a flashing red followed by purple indicates that the desk has been ‘pre-booked’ by another user.
• A solid purple now indicates that the desk has been marked out of service.

FS Access methods

These modules are accompanied by a Floorsense sensor, connected via an audio cable. The following shows a typical placement of the module on a desk, along with a Floorsense occupancy sensor.  The sensor used with floorsight differs from the floorsense version in that the floorsight sensor does not have a radio circuit board installed, because the radio is installed inside the main floorsight module.
