To reserve a desk, the user must have an account linked to the Floorsense app, using a Bluetooth-enabled mobile device with internet access. The user can then place their smartphone on the Floorsense device to reserve a desk. (The desk must be equipped with either a Floorsight Handset or Floorsight Puck - desks with just an occupancy sensor can’t be booked using this method).

It is possible for a user created on the system to link the Floorsense App to their user account. If a user already has a registered My Smartalock account with a site linked to them, they can use the same credentials to login to the Floorsense app. Otherwise, you can allow access to onsite desks via the app by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to the user and click “APP”.

  1. Once clicked, the administrator will be led to a page that contains the site’s QR code for the user. The admin can then send the QR code to the user for use in the following steps, or alternatively send the URL link shown below the QR code to the end user. If the end user has an email address recorded in the system, it is possible to email the end user the URL link directly to speed up enrolment.

The other method allows sending activation links in bulk to everyone or selected users. It requires access to the back end of the Floorsense admin web portal.

  1. The user can then begin to register their account via the app, by clicking on the “register” button below the login credentials.

Once clicked, the user can then enter the Name, Email, and Password that they would like to use for the app. Once the credentials have been filled, the user can then click on the “register” button. NOTE: The email and password used for this step can also be used to login to the My Smartalock portal.
