The Floorsense system comprises a Master/Slave topology, in which a slave controller manages multiple Floorsight modules, and one master controller manages multiple slave controllers. Both controllers are small appliances, however a master controller is typically installed in a customer’s comms/computer room.

The master controller allows the administrator to manage the Floorsense system in terms of Floorsight module mapping to desks on a floorplan, database management, and reservation management through a web browser.

The features a Master/Slave topology include:

• Single simple web interface to manage thousands of Floorsight modules and thousands of users. The modules can even be distributed between different buildings in different cities.
• Centralized, synchronized user, module and swipe card database shared between master and slave controllers.
• Realtime system analytics
• Automated backups of all slave and master databases to Floorsense cloud secure storage (optional - IT security documentation available on request)
• Integration with other Smartalock products such as Smartalock Lockers.
