Why champion training matters
Champions help colleagues use the system confidently on go-live day, particularly in large offices. Choose people who can learn quickly, apply their knowledge, and explain processes clearly.
Handover training package
The Floorsense/Smartalock handover service includes:
- Administrative training — 2 hours: Learn how to manage the system, use its operational functions, and support users.
- Champion training — 2 hours: Learn how to use the system, help colleagues, and troubleshoot common issues.
- On-site support on day one — 2 hours: A Floorsense/Smartalock or reseller engineer provides hands-on assistance as users begin using the system.
Plan go-live coverage
For larger offices, prepare a champion action plan that defines:
- Locations: Where each champion will be stationed.
- Start and end times: Training and support schedules that ensure help is available when needed.
- Team allocation: The number of champions on each floor and how users will be grouped for briefings on lockers, kiosks, desk pucks, and meeting rooms.
Champion responsibilities
- Provide first-line help: Be the initial point of contact for end users and guide them through common issues.
- Escalate unresolved issues: Refer the issue to the appropriate team member or department when further help is needed.
